After 31 years TAAI convention returns to Srinagar, CM inaugurates

Terming Kashmir as kind and friendlier, Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) President, Sunil Kumar promised that Kashmir would not have to wait another 31 years to host a TAAI convention, in his address after the inauguration of the 64th TAAI convention at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC ) in Srinagar, he said while Kashmir was kind and friendlier, there was a need for three Is - Integration, Inspiration and Innovation. Kumar, who is the Chairman of Indian Travel Congress, and was for the second term elected as TAAI President, said while Kashmir hosted the first TAAI convention in 1984 and then again in 1987, it had to wait another 31 years to host the convention again.

"There is a need for all of us to connect with our tomorrows and TAAI is keener to connect with our tomorrow," he said promising an all-out support to Jammu Kashmir. "I promise you, Kashmir will not have to wait this long again to host the convention," Kumar said.

He said Kashmir had a culture of kindness which was visible to the tourists and this was the reason why it was a worthy place for promoting tourism.
